Bikeometer — Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026

This policy explains what data Bikeometer collects, why, and your rights. Bikeometer is a cycling tracker. It works offline by default — your rides are stored on your device.

1. Data we collect

We do not run our own servers and we do not collect personal accounts, names, or email addresses unless you contact us.

2. Why we use this data

To record and display your rides, render maps, calculate routes, provide subscription features, and improve the app. We do not sell your personal information.

Bikeometer does not show ads. We do not use advertising SDKs, we do not read your advertising identifier (IDFA), and we do not share your data with ad networks for targeted advertising.

3. International transfers

Mapbox and Firebase are based in the United States. If you use the app from the EU/EEA or the UK, your data may be transferred to the US. Mapbox is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Google (Firebase) relies on Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers.

4. Your rights (EU/EEA and UK — GDPR)

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. The legal basis for processing is your consent (location permission) and our legitimate interest in providing and improving the app. To exercise these rights or to withdraw consent, email info@fitzeee.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

5. Your rights (California — CCPA/CPRA)

California residents have the right to know what categories of personal information are collected (Geolocation, Internet/Device Activity, Identifiers), the right to delete personal information, the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise these rights, email info@fitzeee.com.

6. Children

Bikeometer is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

7. Retention

Ride data stays on your device until you delete it. Analytics events are retained by Firebase for up to 14 months. Mapbox telemetry is retained per Mapbox's policy.
